From midterms to airplane flights to big Thanksgiving meals, November has been filled with exciting adventures. It is hard to believe that my first semester of freshman year is coming to a close! Which also means that finals are fast approaching. Luckily, Emory has many suggestions and methods to combat the stress of learning about chemical bonds and glycolysis…which includes a study break with trained therapy dogs! Attempts like these highlight the fact that it is important to take a step back from life’s daily stresses and relax.
I had an amazing time spending Thanksgiving with my family in New Jersey, and let’s just say the food I got there was much better than college dining options. I am really looking forward to going home for winter break and the best time of the year: Christmas! It will be great to finally relax and spend time with my family and friends. Take this vacation to spend as much time with loved ones as possible because after you leave for college, you realize just how much you love being around them!
