Distinguished Young Women OF Alabama At-Large


is part of a national scholarship program that promotes and rewards scholastics, leadership and talent in young women. Earn scholarships for higher education, personally develop through the DYW Life Skills Workshops, and make new friends from around the state.

Life-Changing Experience

College scholarships are awarded at the state level and millions in college-granted scholarships are available nationally. The state representative will advance to the national program for the opportunity to compete for cash tuition scholarships. To participate, you must be in your junior of high school. Participants are evaluated in the areas of: scholastics, interview, talent, self-expression, and fitness.

My main goal in attending college is to earn a science degree possible biology and then further my education in med school. At the moment I would love to become a cardiothoracic surgeon.

Achievements:
I was selected to attend HOBY which is a leadership Seminar I received the 23-24 Raider Hustler award for EnglishI was interviewed and selected to be on the 24-25 NPF Junior Fair BoardI had to fill out an application, have a reference from all seven of my teachers, then an interview to be selected as a Raider Ambassador. For the past two years I have undergone this procedure and have been selected.

Additional:
For the past five years I have served my school during the summer as I help maintenance with tasks from moving furniture to painting the walls During the school, once a week every month, I attend an event where we spend time eating, playing games, and learning about Jesus with disabled children. Throughout the school year I donate to organizations such as Wiregrass Humana’s society and the ark.During the summer I attend Wired where we praticpate in various activity’s from giving out food to building ramps.I also help by volunteering during VBS week at my church.
