Distinguished Young Women is proud to have the support of over 17,000 volunteers throughout the country. These individuals are the heart and soul of our program, and the ones who "make it happen." Their dedication and loyalty allow us to fulfill our mission. There are no words to express our appreciation to all the people who give their time, energy, and love to help us make a difference for young women.
State and Local Volunteers
More than 350 state and local programs can be found across the country. Each of these programs is run by a dedicated group of volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure that the young women in their communities enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience through the Distinguished Young Women program. National Volunteers
Board of Directors
Distinguished Young Women is governed by a dedicated Board of Directors. This group of community leaders makes policy decisions about the program, participates in fundraising, and helps keep the program running successfully throughout the year.
National Finals Committee
The National Finals Committee is a wonderful group of volunteers who give their time and effort to ensure that the contestants, families, friends, and state representatives who come to Mobile for the National Finals have the best experience possible.
Scholarship Foundation Board of Directors
The Scholarship Foundation Board of Directors is a governing body that makes policy decisions for the Scholarship Foundation, which distributes funds to the young women who have received awards from Distinguished Young women programs across the country
Travel Support Team
The Travel Support Team is instrumental in ensuring the success of local and state programs. The members of these teams assist the national office by attending state programs and providing support to chairpersons and other volunteers across the country.
