What is your favorite food? Steak and mashed potatoes! I could eat that for every meal.
What is your favorite TV show? Once Upon a Time is definitely my favorite TV show.
What is your favorite movie? It is hard to choose but right now, Dances With Wolves is my favorite movie.
What is your favorite Olympic sport? I love watching figure skating.
What is your favorite Christmas/holiday tradition? Every year before opening presents my parents, three siblings and I curl up on my parent’s bed to read the Christmas story straight from the Bible. And we still do, even though we are almost too big for the bed!
What is the current #1 most played song on your iPod? “On My Own” from Les Mis
What is your favorite quote? “Give up yourself, and you will find your real self. Lose your life and you will save it. Submit to death, death of your ambitions and favorite wishes every day and death of your whole body in the end: submit with every fiber of your being, and you will find eternal life. Keep back nothing. Nothing that you have given away will really be yours. Nothing in you that has not died will ever be raised for the dead. Look for yourself, and you will find in the long run only hatred, loneliness, despair, rage, ruin, and decay. But look for Christ and you will find Him, and with Him everything else thrown in.” Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis
What is your most hated household chore? I really don’t like to vacuum.
What is your favorite time of day? I love the afternoon.
What is your favorite time of year? My favorite time of year is the fall!
Plan ahead OR procrastinate? Definitely procrastinate!
Paper OR plastic? Plastic.
Glass half-full OR glass half-empty? The glass is completely full, half with water half with air.
Introvert OR extrovert? Extrovert! I have to be around people.
Cats OR Dogs? Most of the time dogs.
Morning person OR night person? Does 1:30 am count as morning?
If you could be any color crayon, what would you be and why? Blue! Because it’s simple but everyone likes it!
If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you absolutely need for survival? My Bible, water and food.
What would we find in your refrigerator right now? A lot of frozen pizza. (Hey, I’m in college!)
If you could trade places with any other person for a week, famous or not famous, living or dead, real or fictional, with whom would it be? I would love to be Kirstie Maldonado, the female singer in the a-Capella group Pentatonix.
What is one goal you have set for yourself and achieved? What is one goal that still remains to be achieved? I set a goal to make it to Nationals in Speech and Debate and I did! It was a blast. I have a goal to become President or Vice President of Auburn’s chapter of EWB-USA.
What do you want to be when you grow up and why? I want to work as a civil engineer overseas, either in undeveloped nations or within refugee camps. I have always had a passion for different cultures and I have always wanted to find a career that serves others. Engineering combines those to passions perfectly!

Describe your single-most favorite moment from your Distinguished Young Women experience. My favorite moment at Distinguished Young Women was sitting backstage on finals night with the rest of the girls as we cheered for ten of our great friends who had a chance to wow the audience one last time! By the end of those two weeks, we really were a family.
