Hello my beautiful distinguished friends!
So good news…I saw a dog today!
Oh my lanta. This month has just been absolutely fantastic! It snowed. It seriously snowed from the sky. It made me so happy to stand outside and watch the snow float into my hair and melt in my hands. Now every time I wake up and look out my window, I see piles of beautiful crystal sparkles spread all over the grass. I couldn’t be happier walking to class dressed as hats and scarves mummies. It is such an amazing experience to walk around in ten degree weather and have your whole body wrapped in unflattering wool sweaters but have your nose so cold it could fall right off your face. Little Miss Vegas is absorbing all of the snow that I never got to experience. This December weather is fun to experience every day. Another reason why I love Utah State!

This month, while the weather is delightful, has been completely insane with school. I should just start telling people that I live in the library, because that is pretty much all I do. My professors have been packing on the essays and I feel like I’m drowning in words. At the beginning of the year it started out as just sitting in the pool having fun with friends and now it’s a brisk swim to get away from the sharks down below. Owch. Swim fast or they might getcha! So here a few memes about how I feel coming up to finals week. Enjoy!!! Stay studious my friends, but stay a little social too….lol. I’ll take my own advice this weekend.
Finals are hard; I am not going to lie. But if you stay responsible and studious you can make it in one piece! But I do have a few tips that would be great for maintaining your stress levels!
1. BE HEALTHY
Being healthy is easy and good for you! Try and make it to gym at least 4 times a week. Just put on some fun music (I listen to podcast because they make me feel smart afterwards), and run out your problems to a few of your jams. Its always hard getting your butt to the gym, but I promise you will be glad you went. If you don’t sleep better at night then you can take it out on me. That’s my favorite feeling in the whole world. Going to the gym, feel exhausted but really healthy, then taking a shower and slipping right into bed. You’re exhausted, clean, and ready for a good nights sleep. Try it!!
Also eat a healthy breakfast. I use this recipe from the blog Simply So Good and all of her recipes are simply so good. I love this one because it keeps me way more full and focused than mini wheats. Give it a try. I know that orange juice in oatmeal sounds a little strange but its my favorite meal of the day! Here’s the link!
Another way to stay healthy (especially during finals) is taking healthy snacks with you wherever you go. I keep cutie oranges in my backpack as a snack and they keep me happy. I always feel better in my body when I put good, healthy food into it. YAY healthy snacks! I would post my wonderful mom’s granola recipe but I don’t have it right now. I’ll post it next month!
2. DON’T CRAM
Right now is the time to start studying an hour a day, minimum. We have worked hard this semester and we don’t want to throw it all away just by procrastinating on the last big push. You can do it. It is only two weeks of fire and furry but we can make it!
3, STAY HAPPY
Just remember that after all of your hard work is put into your school. Your grades do not define who you are. How hard you try is what defines you. Do your best and forget the rest.
